Do you take same day appointments?

I do not take same day appointments. I understand that clients have busy schedules, however, I require at least 1 day advanced notice to ensure that you get the most out of your session.  For my practice, I strongly believe in being grounded and centered, and I feel that "rushing" to an appointment without proper focus is really a disservice to you, the client.  I encourage clients to look at my online schedule and find a time that works for them.  Thank you for your consideration.

What time should I arrive if it's my first appointment?

For your first appointment, please arrive 15-20 minutes early so that you can fill out paperwork and have time to talk to the therapist before your session starts.

Will I be covered during the massage?

Yes, all clients are covered with a sheet. Only the area that is being worked on will be exposed.

Should I wear undergarments?

This is a personal decision based on your level of comfort. Most clients choose to be completely free of clothing and others may leave undergarments on.  It's totally up to you.

What should I do after the massage?

Drink plenty of water and remember to relax and take it easy if possible. You may feel drowsy or sleepy after your session, so resting after is a wonderful way to enhance your massage. If your body is very tense or stressed when you come in, or you do not have regular massage, the release of waste products stored in your muscular tissues could cause headaches or muscle soreness. Remember, massage is a mini workout for your body, which brings benefit following any initial soreness. At my La Jolla office, clients can take advantage of nature by enjoying a stroll down to the ocean, which is a couple blocks away. The beauty of the ocean waves, air and birds lends itself to solitude and tranquility that you may be seeking after a massage.

Do you offer "Special Services"?

No, I do not. My massage is strictly professional (non-sexual) massage therapy and I do not provide "other special services". If during the course of the massage a client is looking for sexual services, the session will be terminated and payment will be due for the entire session booked.

When should I refrain from massage?

You should refrain from massage for any of the reasons listed below:

  1. One hour before or after a meal
  2. First trimester of pregnancy
  3. Seriously ill, or intoxicated
  4. If you have a contagious skin disease
  5. If you have a cold or fever

May I leave a gratuity?

You certainly may, that is up to you. Gratuity is not included in any of the treatments. If you would like to leave gratuity on your credit card, it has to be included before the ring of the sale.
